Wood Pellet

Wood pellets are a form of compressed biomass energy with a uniform shape and size. The raw material for making pellets is Kaliandra Merah wood, planted by Forest Farmers Groups in Community Plantation Forests (HTR) and Village Forests (HD), and dead biomass such as palm oil waste, sawdust.

The Energy Forest development programme is an effort to reserve production forest areas and use marginal land specifically intended for the development of forest biomass-based bioenergy.

This programme has the support of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Directorate General of Sustainable Production Forest Management, Directorate of Production Forest Business and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources as an effort to increase the contribution of new and renewable energy (EBT) in the national energy mix.
